A Project Management Life Cycle for Managers
To successfully deliver projects from start to finish, you need to complete all of the steps in the Project Management Life Cycle. The first step in the project management life cycle is called initiation and in this phase, you define the business case, undertake a feasibility study and appoint the project team. Any suppliers are also appointed at this time and a phase review is completed. The next step in the project management life cycle is the planning phase, which involves creating detailed project, resource and quality plans to ensure you are always working towards the project goals set. In the Execution and Closure phases of the project management life cycle, you produce the deliverables and hand them over to the customer for acceptance.
