What is Procurement Management and why do I need a process?


Procurement Management is basically the process of obtaining goods and services form a supplier external to the project. Procurement is typically a function with an organization which allows for obtaining goods and services from external suppliers or vendors in the industry such as IT, construction, or telecommunication suppliers. A Procurement Management process is put in place to ensure that those goods and services are obtained in a fair, accurate, and efficient manner.
